Our Journeying Between project, in partnership with Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Caius House Youth Centre in Battersea took place over the Easter holiday. Tavaziva worked with a group of young people who explored dance and music-making with industry professionals.
This free project for 11-18 year olds looked at the process of creating, marketing and performing their own work. The project culminated in a performance of their piece on the 7th May as part of Wandsworth Arts Fringe. The young people named the piece ‘JOURNEYING BETWEEN HERE!’ and it was performed as part of a triple bill which featured Ballet Soul’s new work ‘Othello’ and performances by artists from Royal Academy of Dance’s Step into Dance programme.
It was fun, it was creative and it felt like a journey. Monica and Michael were brilliant and we have so much!
