Leire Garin

Leire was born in Pamplona (Spain) and from a young age she started her studies in dance and music. She continued with her dance studies in ballet and contemporary at Almudena Lobon Dance School in Pamplona. Leire joined Aldanza Company in 2006 performing in Almudena Lobon, Antonio Calero and Natalia Vinas . In 2007 she studied the ceccetti technique and completed different contemporary courses in Canada. In 2009 Leire moved to London and trained at London Contemporary Dance School where she had the opportunity to perform in works choreographed by Richard Alston and Siobhan Davies.  During her Degree Leire took part in workshops with dancers of Rosas, Les Ballet C de la B and Vandekeybus in Brussels. Leire graduated with a BA in Contemporary dance in 2012. Leire was also a dancer in Quicksilver Dance Company (Rambert youth company) where she performed in RichDance and BIG DANCE. Leire has also presented her choreographic skill with a piece she created in 2010 called Ganymede. Leire joined Tavaziva Dance as part of the London Contemporary Dance School Postgraduate Apprenticeship Scheme in September 2012.
