Harriet Waghorn

Harriet is a London based choreographer, director and dance artist. She has worked with companies including Tavaziva and EDIFICE Dance Theatre. She has recently performed choreographies by Otto Pichler in ‘Carmen’ and Micheal Keegan Dolan in ‘Macbeth’ at The Royal Opera House London 2018/19. Harriet has worked with artists Tino Seghal (Tate Modern), Yelena Popova, Candida Powell-WIlliams (Serpentine Gallery). In 2021 she was awarded mentorship with Akram Khans Sky Arts development programme.

Her work in film has featured on Netflix, Sky Arts, Nowness, VICE and as part of BFI Special Presentation.  She has choreographed numerous dance films including Netflix Original ‘Been So Long’ directed by BAFTA winning director Tinge Krishnan, Sky Arts documentary “I Still Breathe” and internationally exposed viral dance films ‘Abaddon’ and ‘Edifice’ which collectively have views of over 12 million. Her work in film has been featured on Netflix, Nowness, VICE and has been selected as Vimeo Staff Pick and as part of BFI Special Presentation.

Additionally Harriet works alongside Carmine De Amicis as co-director of EDIFICE dance theatre. EDIFICE combines ballroom/contemporary/theatrical narrative to create original productions for stage and film which have toured both in the UK and internationally including venues such as The Place, Stephen Joseph Theatre, Teatro Adolfo Marsillach. Harriet has co-directed sell out shows ‘Blood Wedding’, ‘Tenome’, ‘Salomé’, and immersive theatre experience ‘Transcendence’ in collaboration with Alex MacArthur Interiors. They are currently in production for their first feature film.
