In April of 2012 Bawren went to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, for one week. Barwen led workshops to residents of Rabat to introduce them to African Contemporary dance, and his personal style in particular. The participants were a mixture of dancers and actors from Institut Francais. The trip was hosted by Danse City, Institut Francais and their director Mohammed Benshain.
