Creative LAB Date: Friday 5 October 2018
We teamed up with One Dance UK to bring together Bawren Tavaziva and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s Jeroboam Bozeman in a Creative Exchange LAB.
Jeroboam and Bawren have individual styles and techniques when it comes to teaching, dancing and choreographing, but yet the harmony that was generated when the styles were merged together was astounding. Jeroboam’s sense of boundless movement, fuelled by raw emotion, and Bawren’s sharp bursting athleticism and playfulness came together to create a beautiful duet. All the participants got to learn and perform this sequence and left feeling inspired and enriched, as well as Jeroboam and Bawren who really enjoyed collaborating.
