Workshops

Tavaziva can deliver a range of workshops for schools, colleges, universities, dance schools and community dance groups.

Bawren Tavaziva’s original style of contemporary African
choreography is explored by participants who learn and develop
creative, choreographic and performance skills.

Africarmen Workshops

Tavaziva delivers workshops and residencies relating to the production Africarmen and are run alongside our UK tour dates. The work will enhance participants understanding of the production and provide a memorable and enriching experience before or after seeing the live show.

Black History Month Workshops

Tavaziva has created a package of Black History Month workshops for KS2, KS3 & KS4.

These will explore the fascinating  traditions and rhythmic rituals of the Zimbabwean Shona tribe and give students the opportunity to work with professional dancers. These can be run as a half or full day workshop or 2-3 day residencies to create a performance piece.

Schools booking the residency option will also be invited to perform at our Youth Dance Showcase later in the year.
